ICON WORKSHOP

The Icon Workshop icon editor will load icon files, or extract icons from libraries, EXEs, or DLLs. The icons will immediately be reduced to 16 colors to comply with the Liberty BASIC runtime engine. It is also possible to create new icons from scratch.  Bitmaps and JPGs may be opened so that they can be used for icons. Click and drag with the mouse to select the desired area of the image, then click the right mouse button to finalize the selection and send it to the icon editor.

It is possible to paint a single pixel at a time, or to change all pixels of one color to another color. Anything painted in the transparent color will be transparent in the finished icon. Icon images may be slipped or mirrored. When an icon is finished, it may be saved to disk as an icon or as a bitmap. It may be included in a copy of the Liberty BASIC 3 or 4 runtime engine. (To include it in runtime engines for previous versions of Liberty BASIC, please use the icon editor in the Liberty BASIC editor, since Liberty BASIC Workshop doesn't provide this capability.)
